Del compleanno di Barbie abbiamo già parlato in un altro recente articolo nel quale sono stati presentati gli eventi e i prodotti più importanti che sono stati realizzati in suo onore nel mondo, in particolar modo in Francia e Stati Uniti.
Anche l’Italia, patria della moda e del design, ha festeggiato i 50 anni di Barbie creando prodotti di moda e di design per un pubblico adulto che ama il colore rosa e questa icona “everpink”. Oltre a prodotti accessibili a tutte le tasche, ci sono edizioni speciali e pezzi unici che sono stati battuti a novembre 2009 ad un’asta benefica per Save The Children, la più importante organizzazione internazionale indipendente per la difesa dei diritti dei bambini. I lotti sono stati aggiudicati a prezzi, a mio parere, bassi nonostante l’eccezionalità e l’unicità degli oggetti: solo € 20.000,00 la Fiat 500 di Barbie e le scatole Kartell intorno alle € 250,00.
Recenty we have already talked about Barbie’s birthday in an article in which there were presented the most important events and products made in her honor in the world, especially in France and in the United States.
Also Italy, home of fashion and design, has celebrated 50 years of Barbie by creating fashion and design products for an adult audience who loves the color pink and this “everpink” icon. In addition to products affordable to everybody, there are special editions and unique pieces that were sold at an auction in November 2009 for Save The Children, the largest independent international organization for defending the rights of the children. In my opinion the lots were sold at low prices, despite the exceptionality and the uniqueness of the objects: only € 20,000.00 for the Barbie Fiat 500 and around € 250,00 for the Kartell boxes.
